From Michelle Obama's first book "American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America"
Serves: 6 as a side dish
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups of green cabbage, shredded
2 cups of red cabbage, shredded
1 carrot julienned
2 radishes thinly sliced
1 Tbsp. of sliced almonds
1 Tbsp black sesame seeds
Ginger Miso dressing ( recipe under Dressings)
TO PREPARE:
In a large bowl toss ingredients w/dressing. You may want to sprinkle sesame seeds and/ or almonds on top after. Eat right away for a crunchy salad or refrigerate and let marinate for a few hours for a slaw-like salad.
